I've been broke plenty of times and I agree being broke is a temporary situation.

    it says that like being broke means not having any money to spend at the time. but being poor means being homeless with no money at all.

    to me it says that being broke and poor are two different things. poor is long lasting but broke is temporary.

    i think that this quote is saying that you cant really be poor being poor is a state of mind but you can be broke were you can get what you want if you try hard enough to get it.
